Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Honors Local Fire and EMS Providers
Fredericksburg, VA, December 9, 2009 Men and women who usually toil in anonymity, saving lives and sometimes risking their own, took center stage recently at an event hosted by Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (SRMC).
Some 50 members of Fire and EMS squads from Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, Caroline County, and Stafford County joined members of SRMCs leadership team at the dinner event, which was held at Fire Station Four in Spotsylvania County. During the event, hospital CEO Tim Tobin presented $20,000 to squads $5,000 each to the fire and rescue departments of each of the four municipalities.
The men and women who represent our local fire and EMS squads deserve not only our gratitude, but also our full support, said Tim Tobin, CEO of Spotsylvania Regional. When we open our doors in June, well be working in partnership with these professional responders to provide the best possible emergency care for everyone who lives and works in the Rappahannock Region.
Chris Eudailey, Chief of the Spotsylvania County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management, added this: On behalf of the emergency responders from Spotsylvania County, we extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (HCA) for its continued generosity. This donation will benefit the combined fire and emergency system and enhance our abilities to respond to those in need.
